Summer Days

How crazy is this weather!! 2 weeks ago we wore woolen hats and big coats, now it´s so hot you can hardly breathe!!! At last we have got a bit of summer and we´re making the most of it! Jamie and me have been in the garden all day and it´s just pure pleasure sitting and knitting while he´s playing away.
Oh and the bliss off hanging the washing on the line again and it being dry after 3 hours!#

This afternoon I got some stainless steel milk pots out I got in the charity shop and Jamie played with these for an entire hour! I am getting so fed up with my digital camera, I know I could take amazing pictures with a decent camera - but as I only got a basic one I am trying to get the best out of it. Oh, to win the lottery to get a decent one!!!

See what I mean? How ever I set the settings it never turns out how i want it to!

Oh well, they´re lovely memories anyway!
We have also been painting stones today, played with mud and a big lorry, played in the sand, cooked with acorns and conkers..

Oh, and we have been "nadidei" (nackidei, german for naked LOL)
Some lovely lovely memories have been made and I am so grateful for this garden!

And hungry he was !!
Eating carrot soup and eating ryvita with coconut butter and  st dalfour sugar free cherry jam... his favourite food ever..

Yarn along

Oh my gosh, I am so excited! For the very first time I am doing a yarn along post!! I have read those since at least a year and always marveled at other people´s skills! Now I finally am learning to knit and can do this myself! There´s still a LOT to learn but for now I am enjoying this beautiful green wendy pure merino wool!

The books I am reading are Frederick from Leo Lionni , the most beautiful children´s book EVER! and "The last horsemen" of Charles Bowden. This is a wonderful book about Britains last horsepowered farm.
If you haven´t read Frederick yet, you HAVE to, it´s so wonderful!

2 weeks of grain free

...and I have lost 8lbs (4kg)!!!! And that while eating monstrous amounts of butter, cream, cheese, coconut flour muffins etc etc.
I am feeling a lot better, had some major detox though with headaches, bloating and mood swings but it seems to get better :)

Warm woolens and squash

Today we bought 2 lovely knitted tops for Jamie in mothercare. As I can´t knit jumpers and cardigans yet this seemed like a good option, and they are adorable!! One is 100%cotton and the other is cotton and angora :)

hat by me..lol

On Tuesday we had our weekly fruit and veg boxes delivered and also a squash box. It was 7.95 and i didn´t expect this sheer amount:

How awesome are these!!!

Autumn in the air

Oh these last couple of days have been so wonderfully autumny! This is my favourite season of the year EVER! the smell in the air, the beautiful colurs everywhere and of course finding treasures outside.
The only negative is that jamie has got a terrible cold and a cough.

Boys and sticks...
this hat is the first thing i ever knitted..

We have been for a lovely walk this morning , collecting the first shiny concers for the year! The athmosphere was just soo nice , the colours of the trees are changing and the air just tastes fresh.
There is a lot of road works going on all around us - which means DIGGERS+LORRIES - so every day we have to stop to watch diggers..

This is how many concers we found just this morning:

And then come back for some playtime in the warm house:
