Seven Days ..

A  bit late but as we have been away this weekend....

So many things happen in our busy lives that I want to hold on to and remember. Little things - things that might go unnoticed, or missed in the hurly burly. Nothing special and yet - oh - how completely special!

Inspired by Jacqui

We had 7 days of enjoying the woods across the road, pumkin carving, discovering the love for the wooden train track, beautiful caravanning on the Plassey, watercolouring and so much more. I feel like we have done so much this week and there is so many more pictures yet!

Joining in with Ginny of small things

Still working on my scarf - but it´s nearly finished!!! It´s took me 3 weeks already! By now I can do the pattern  by heart and I am definitely getting faster , which is good as I have to do the exact same one again as a Christmas present for my MIL. At least it´ll be a different colour..
I am reading two very interesting books at the moment, Vanishing England was written in 1910 and is about the vanishing of the old traditional look of England caused by industrialisation. Thinking of what has happened since then is just simply mindblowing. I love reading this , as it gives a lovely insight to what life was like in my new homecountry.
Also reading timeless simplicity which is a good read too. Both books were charity shop finds for 50p each..

The versatile blogger award

I have been nominated for an award, wow!

Thank you Shirley Ann for nominating my blog!

So, here are the rules for this award:

Thank the person(s) who nominated you and link back up them. Tell Readers 7 things about yourself. Pass this award onto 15 newly discovered bloggers and let them know.
     Ok , here´s 7 things about me:
    1. I am German and live in the UK- sometimes people notice and sometimes not. Some people even say I sound more English than Ben does.
    2. I love books. There is never a time I am not at least reading one book. Mostly two or three at once. And I love my kindle as it means I can take hundreds of books with me! Currently I am reading Charlaine Harris´ True Blood series. So that takes me to
    3. Yes, I love vampire books and movies. Oh, gosh, I said it out loud. I am  a sucker for Twilight, Vampire Diaries and True Blood.
    4. I love knitting , sewing and crocheting. I think I am getting better at knitting!
    5. I am always on time. I hate it, when people aren´t.. Sadly most people are never on time.. LOL
    6. I try to be as green as I can. I hate plastic toys (apart from Lego of course!!)..
    7. We don´t eat any sugar....or ready meals....or preservatives.I don´t even eat grains....I love cooking from scratch and nurturing my family with healthy organic food...some people find that extreme but it´s just right for us..

So , here´s the 15 blogs I nominate for this award, I read blogs every day and they inspire me a lot!
This is just a list of 15 blogs, i could have probably made a list of 50!!

    Talacre Beach

Yesterday was a gorgeous sunny day and we went with the family to Prestatyn to watch Jamie´s uncle and granddad run a race along the coast!

After the race was finished we drove to Talacre Beach. Oh my, I didn´t know such a beautiful place was so so close to us (45 min drive).

It totally reminds me of the Island of Sylt in Germany where I used to spend many holidays as a child and teenager.
Jamie LOVED it - he was throwing pebbles in the water, collecting shells in his basket and watching dogs swim in the water. He really belongs to nature, this little boy!!

I am afraid there will be lots of pictures in this post!!!

    Pinterest..

.. I am addicted!! How cool is it! Just typed in Autumn and there´s tons of beautiful things to look at..

    Here´s my first list:

    Hodidays.....

No typo, Jamie calls it Hodidays...LOL
This weekend we had our probably last weekend away in the caravan. We went to our favourite ever campsite the Plassey , it´s only 40 minutes away yet it feels like your far far away!
It was raining when we arrived but it soon dried up!

Jamie loves the caravan, apart from nighttime. He simply doesn´t sleep well in it and we have tried it all. So it was a very nice surprise when on the second night he slept all the way from 6pm-8.30am the next morning. He didn´t even make a noise!!

We had such a lovely time, barbecues under a starry autumn sky, a few glasses of wine, a good laugh. Jamie has finally learned how to go down a slide without throwing himself back (he has a delay in motor skills) so he was very proud of himself.
My camera is totally playing up though!!!

Jamie loved running around the green grass, the park is amazing too and our caravan was right next to the park. There´s some lovely shops as well :)

On this field there´s usually lots of cows much to Jamie´s delight!

Isn´t this what makes for wonderful childhood memories?
